- M4B keeps the book in one file with chapters, cover art, and audiobook metadata.
- MP3 is widely compatible and is useful when your player does not support M4B.
Good to know
For Apple Books and many dedicated audiobook players, M4B is usually the best choice.

Download a completed book

Open Library
From the dashboard, select the finished audiobook you want to save.

Choose Download
Open the download menu and pick M4B or MP3.

Save the file
Keep the browser window open until the download begins. The completed audiobook is available as a single M4B or MP3 file.

Import into your player
Open or share the downloaded file with Apple Books, VLC, or another compatible audio app.
