Completed books remain in your BookWave library, where you can stream them or download a copy for your preferred listening app.
Choose a download format
- M4B keeps the book in one file with chapters, cover art, and audiobook metadata.
- MP3 is widely compatible and is useful when your player does not support M4B.
- A chapter ZIP contains separate MP3 files for listeners who prefer to manage chapters individually.
Good to know
For Apple Books and many dedicated audiobook players, M4B is usually the best choice.
Download a completed book

Open Library
From the dashboard, select the finished audiobook you want to save.

Choose Download
Open the download menu and pick M4B, MP3, or chapter ZIP.

Save the file
Keep the browser window open until the download begins. Large books can take a moment to prepare.

Import into your player
Open or share the downloaded file with Apple Books, VLC, or another compatible audio app.
Manage your library
Use your BookWave library as the permanent home for generated titles. You can stream across signed-in devices and download another copy whenever you need one.
- Search by book title or author.
- Open a title to resume listening or view chapter progress.
- Keep your own backup of downloaded files for offline archives.
